All About JLMC Photography
I’ve loved horses for as long as I can remember. Riding has been a constant in my life in one form or another, and over the years it’s shaped how I see patience, trust, and connection — both in and out of the saddle.

I am lucky enough to lease Pocket (featured above!). Riding and caring for him has deepened the way I notice horses — their expressions, their quirks, and the quiet moments that say the most.

Photography started naturally, almost without me realizing it. When my barn began traveling to shows, I picked up a camera to document the days I didn’t want to forget. What began as a way to hold onto those moments turned into something more — a way to preserve the bond between horse and rider, the emotion of competition days, and the stillness that exists around them.

When I photograph horses, I’m always looking for connection — the quiet understanding between horse and rider, and the moments that feel real rather than posed. I keep sessions relaxed and unhurried, letting space exist for those connections to show themselves.
Just an adult ammy, with the best horse show husband and cat a girl could ask for.
